Jasper Prachek has spent a career hedgelaying in the winter and the summer, making high quality trugs. He is a true expert at working with natural materials and we are very lucky to have him teaching us the skill.
We will be spending the day learning about sourcing the bark, removing it well from the trunk and then weaving a small bark basket.
While you are creating you can learn all about the folklore that surrounds the natural materials you are using, how they are tied in with our festive traditions and how to identify them.
All this whilst we enjoy a brew from the campfire and enjoy some delicious cake.
