Experience the powerful and captivating world of Shakespeare's Macbeth at the BLUEBARN Theatre in Omaha. Directed and Adapted by Beth Ann Hopkins, this dark and bloody tragedy explores themes of ambition, guilt, and the brutal consequences that follow. With original music by Elliot Roth, this World Premiere adaptation brings a fresh perspective to a timeless classic.
The talented cast includes Ryan Kathman as Macbeth, Jill Anderson as Lady Macbeth, Jimmy Nguyen as Banquo, and Maggie Conway as Daughter/2nd Apparition, among others. The creative team behind the production includes composer and musical director Elliot Roth, fight choreographer Murphy Scott Wulfgar, and costume designer Jill Anderson.
Performances of Macbeth run from September 21st to October 8th, with an additional run from October 19th to October 22nd. There will be a special ASL performance on Friday, September 29th. Tickets are available for Thursday to Saturday shows at 7:30 pm, Sunday shows at 2:00 pm, and a special Sunday evening show on October 8th at 6:00 pm.
In addition to the performances, there are several engagement events to enhance your experience. These include a screening of Throne of Blood in partnership with Film Streams, a post-show bonfire with the Nebraska Poetry Society and the Nebraska Writers Collective, and a Shakespeare Trivia Night at Saro Cider.
