The Lux Australis Ensemble presents their inaugural work, titled Lux Australis by renowned composer Elena Kats-Chernin AO. This captivating composition, performed by a string orchestra, consists of six distinct movements, each reflecting one of the Six Essential Human Qualities: Resilience, Vitality, Brilliance, Integrity, Clarity, and Renewal.

Following the performance, Artistic Director Richard Parker will engage in an interview with Composer Elena Kats-Chernin and Conductor Luke Severn. This conversation will delve into the inspiration, creation, and execution of this remarkable piece. To conclude the evening, attendees will indulge in a supper featuring Glenfiddich whisky and a delectable lobster roll by Andrew McConnell.

This exceptional performance is part of the Melbourne Art Fair LATE NIGHTS event, presented by Broadsheet. Elena Kats-Chernin, an accomplished composer, received her training at the Gnessin Musical College before moving to Australia in 1975. Throughout her illustrious career, she has composed works for esteemed ensembles such as the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian World Orchestra, and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Luke Severn, a talented concert cellist, composer, and conductor, will be leading the Lux Australis Ensemble. Known for his expressive performances and dynamic personality, Severn has established himself as a prominent figure in the Australian music scene. As the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra, his musical vision and versatility are highly sought after.

The Lux Australis by Elena Kats-Chernin event will take place at Alpha60 Chapter House, an elegant loft hall located in Melbourne's CBD. This stunning venue, with its cathedral-high ceilings, stained glass windows, and polished timber floors, provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of musical brilliance.

The location of the Melbourne Aquarium is very good, just on the banks of the Yarra River in the city center, and most urban hotels can be reached. The aquarium is quite rich in variety, there are some interactive programs, and there are also supporting restaurants. It takes about 3 hours to finish shopping.

If you can only choose one indoor attraction in Melbourne, I definitely recommend the Melbourne Museum! Especially the Dinosaur Museum, completely subverted my imagination of the fossil exhibition - the skeleton of Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triangle Dragon actually got up through the 3D film &quot;live&quot;, and the anthropomorphic interactive plot made the paleontology super substitution! 🦖 immersive dinosaur museum: in addition to the shocking fossil display, The most amazing thing is to give dinosaurs &quot;character&quot; with technology. The bridge between Tyrannosaurus rex and Triangle dragon mouth in the film is like watching a prehistoric animation blockbuster! (But the full English explanation may be a bit difficult for young children) 🌿 Secret Tropical Garden: I didn&#39;t expect a mini rainforest to be hidden in the museum! Waterfalls, tree frogs, insect-catching nepenthes... The air-conditioned area feels the tropical humidity, and the design is too careful. 🐜 Insect Hall Eggs: Bamboo knot insects under magnifying glass, glowing firefly tunnels, and many interactive devices that can be operated by hand ▪️ The Australian Aboriginal Culture Exhibition Area has precious records Historical relics, quiet shopping to reserve 1 hour ▪️ rainy working days afternoon less people experience, Trip.com ticket is more favorable Although 3D movies are not very friendly to children who are not native to English, but compared to shopping malls, this is definitely the perfect choice for Melbourne cloudy/with a baby 👍
