Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg, renowned conductor of the West Valley Symphony, will be gracing the stage once again with his incredible jazz performances alongside a talented ensemble. This extraordinary event, known as Lunchtime Theater, is a seasonal program dedicated to enriching the community through the power of music and theater. In collaboration with the West Valley Arts Council and the City of Surprise, this unique experience takes place at the Arts HQ Gallery, where attendees can immerse themselves in the visual and performing arts.

Delighting audiences from October to April, Lunchtime Theater showcases a diverse range of talent, including the mesmerizing Phoenix Opera, local jazz trios, and exceptional theater groups. Surrounded by captivating gallery artwork, guests are invited to indulge in a one-hour show during their lunch break. Advanced ticket reservations are required, and patrons have the option to bring their own lunch or explore the delectable offerings from various local restaurants in Surprise. Open seating commences at 11:30am, with each performance running from 12 noon to 1pm.

One of the highlights of this event is Maestro Cal Kellogg's Jazz Combo. Roughly 13 years ago, Maestro Kellogg's passion for jazz was reignited by the remarkable clarinetist, Jeff Quamo. Over time, this quartet, now known as Cal's Jazz Combo, has graced many different venues across the valley. Joining Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg and Jeff Quamo are the indispensable members, Steve Anderson on electric bass and Robbie Carillo on drums. Although their time together is limited, their shared musical journey is an experience to behold, bringing joy to audiences far and wide.
