The Equality Commission is launching its latest research on the impact on equality groups across Northern Ireland, following the loss of EU funding and the transition to the replacement funding stream, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The research is an update to our previous research published in 2022.
The discussion will be led by:
Geraldine McGahey, Chief Commissioner, Equality Commission for Northern Ireland
When: Thursday 26 June
Where: Shankill Shared Women’s Centre, Belfast
Time: 9.30am to 1.00pm
Join us to hear from the researchers, led by Dr Eve Hepburn at Horizons Research, and directly from sector representatives on the impact these changes have had in Northern Ireland to date.
An overview of the voluntary and community sector will be provided by:

The panellists will discuss what this has meant for their organisations and the people they provide support services to, and how future funding allocations could be improved.
This event and the research will be of particular interest to those from the disability, women's, children and young people, and community and voluntary sectors.
A light lunch will be provided at the end of the event. Please let us know of any dietary requirements or reasonable adjustments when registering.

Then we led us to the hall of parliament, which is where the members of parliament meet, and there are microphones in each position, and then we started to talk about the history, functions, etc. of the building, and we were full of spirit. You can sit casually, even the position of the chancellor. After the introduction, I will lead you to visit other halls. The huge banquet hall is covered with thick and beautiful red carpets. What hall is the blue carpet is a bit unrememberable.
