R. F. Kuang's Yellowface is a look at cultural appropriation, racism, and the world of publishing. It follows June, a struggling writer who steals her late friend’s manuscript and passes it off as her own. As her success grows, she faces the fallout of stealing someone else’s story and identity. With themes of privilege, who gets to tell which stories, and the pressures of the literary world, Yellowface is a thought-provoking read.  - We'll meet on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm at Coffee Union in UWLSU by the 'Park' entrance. - Whether you have read the whole book, a few chapters or a few sentences you are welcome to join the discussion.
