Transporting audiences to 19th century France, Les Misérables follows the journey of Jean Valjean, released from unjust imprisonment but met with mistrust and mistreatment. Determined to start anew, Valjean breaks his parole, embarking on a lifelong quest for redemption. However, his path intertwines with relentless police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe in Valjean's transformation. Their clash reaches a climax during the Paris student uprising of 1832, where Javert is confronted with his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves the young revolutionary captivated by Valjean's adopted daughter. This epic and uplifting story showcases the resilience of the human spirit.
