Welcome to the LMDA Canada Power Point Party! Join us for a night of creativity and fun in the Studio Theatre at Factory Theatre. LMDA Canada is launching a series of fun and free community events to provide more opportunities for dramaturgs to come together, discuss their work, train in their craft, and find professional opportunities. Our first step, though, is to try to program fun, low-stakes events across different regions to raise awareness about the organization and dramaturgy in general. To that end, we're planning a powerpoint party onDecember 2 in the Studio Theatre at Factory Theatre from 7 - 9:30 pm. This event is free! We hope it will be an opportunity for folks interested in, curious about, and currently practicing Dramaturgy to come together, make new friends and maybe learn something new! The evening will be centered around a slate of Selected and Invited Guests who will be giving 5-minute powerpoint presentations on a passion of their choice. The only rules are: The passion itself cannot be theatre-related. (The more niche, the better.)The presentation has to be through a dramaturgical lens/perspective.If you would like to sign up for a powerpoint spot submit here while space lasts! Come join in a night of fun, obsessive, silly joy! Bring a friend or two and enjoy a night of laughter, entertainment and community. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, this event is open to all. Come mingle with fellow Dramaturgs and see just how deeply obsessive and nerdy your friends can get!
