Welcome to INK, a new solo exhibition at Cass Art by Glasgow artist Liz Reid Works on show will include new large-format detailed drawings inspired by shop window displays, as well as lino prints, urban sketches of Glasgow landmarks and 100 small works on beer mats, a kind of sketch diary created as part of the creative '100 Days Project Scotland'. All my drawings and prints are explorations of line, pattern and detail, inspired by the world around me, so expect to see lots of bits of Glasgow you might recognise. I'll also be drawing in the Art Space throughout the exhibition and inviting visitors to join in with the 'INKtober' daily drawing challenge. About Liz Reid: Liz is a full-time artist, living in the east end of Glasgow and working from her studio in the Barras after a change in direction from a career in public sector graphic design.
