Abbey Fishponds Summer Fun
This Summer, we’re taking 
Little Acorns
 on tour with a special free event at 
Abbey Fishponds
, the community reserve in Didcot we care for.
At this drop in session, your little ones can come and connect with the natural world with the help of our friendly team. We’ll be investigating the season with a variety of activities for little adventurers to discover, from minibeast IDs to a sensory scavenger hunt.
This session is free, thanks to funding from 
South Oxford District Council
 and 
Vale of White Horse District Council
 but
 booking is essential
. Please note that you only need to book a ticket for your child, you do not need to book a ticket for adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult, with a max of 2 children per adult.

Parking
: Limited residential parking only - please park carefully and considerately not blocking access for residents
Meet point
: the reserve is easily accessed by walking from Radley Road, Hadland Road, Eason Drive or Audlett Drive with parking available on these roads. We'll be set up at the intersection of these four routes, what3words location is courier.fails.looked.
This is a drop in session, so activities will be running throughout the event. Come along any time!
Little Acorns is a child-led experience, our trained tutors will support and guide children, but not direct them to allow each child to lead their own learning while developing their curiosity for nature.
Important Information
Toilets are NOT available
Please bring any refreshments you may need
Dress for outdoor exploration - long sleeve/loose tops and long trousers are best to protect from stings and scratches - and be prepared for all weathers - warm / waterproof clothing
Our Session Leader is a trained first aider
You are responsible for the safety of your children at all times
All children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult per max 2 children).
