The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London has the pleasure to invite you on 13.02.2025 from19:00 to a special prelude to the celebration of love and wine –  St. Valentine’s Day  – a poetic-musical evening and the premiere of the latest poetry collections by Bulgarian poet Dimana Ivanova – the bilingual English-Czech edition  Border Landscapes/Pohraniční krajiny  (Explorer Editions, 2023) and  Pink Sun  (published by  Ergo , 2021). The books will be discussed by the writer and editor at  Siela  publishing house, Ganka Filipovska. The evening will feature classical music performed by leading Bulgarian musicians living and working in London – Zlatko Veličkov (violin and viola) and Vesela Shalamanova (piano). The event is part of the initiative of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London –  Month of Bulgarian Literature.  Dimana Ivanova was born in Varna, Bulgaria, in 1979. She earned her master’s degree in Slavonic philology at the University of St. Kliment Ochridski in Sofia with a minor in French philology. She has been awarded twice the Grigor Lenkov prize at the Czech Centre in Sofia and the Prize of the Bulgarian Union of Translators in Sofia for the best translation of Bulgarian literature into foreign language for the year 2017. She has received her doctorate in comparative literature at the Charles University in Prague in 2011. She is the author of three poetry books: two of them are in Bulgarian – Pokana za bašta (Invitation for a Father, Ergo, 2012) and Azbuka na želanijata (Alphabeth of Desires, Scalino, 2016) and one in Slovak translation – Som ako morská voda (I am like the Water of the Sea, Ars poetica, 2018). Her poems have been translated into more than thirteen languages and published in many literary journals and anthologies in Bulgaria as well as abroad inthe USTower journal, Spanish journalsPurple wordsandHambre, Canadian-Romanian reviewDestine literareand others. From 2012 till 2019 she has been working as a teacher in high schools in Slovakia and Great Britain, from the year of 2021 till 2023 was working as a coordinator of educational and literary projects at the Czech Cultural Centre in Sofia and is currently working at the Consular department of the Slovak Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is also a member of the Czech Alliance of Journalists, Bulgarian Union of Translators, poetry movement Poetas del mundo and the Czech-Slovakian Association of Comparative Literature. She has been awarded several prizes for poetry: by the festival “On the Morava banks” in Czech Republic (2018), by the poetry competition “Mělnický Pegas” in Mělník, Czech Republic (2018), the Polish prize “Name of the rose” (2018), “Amavica” (2019) Prize in South оf France and prize for haiku of the Croatian Union of Writers (2019). Магистър-филолог на СУ “Св. Климент Охридски” с две специалности - славянска филология с профил чешки език и литература и френска филология.Доктор по сравнително литературознание на Карловия университет в Прага. Два пъти е носител на наградата за млади чешки преводачи от конкурса “По стъпките на Григор Ленков”, организиран от Чешки център София, както и на награда на Съюза на българските преводачи за най-добър превод от български на чужд език (2017). Автор е на три стихосбиркина български език: “Покана за баща” (изд. „Ерго“, 2012), “Азбука на желанията” (изд. „Скалино“, 2016) и „Розово слънце“ (изд. „Ерго“, 2021). Нейни поетични книги излизат и на словашки – “Somakomorskаvoda” (Arspoetica, 2018), сърбохърватски –„Ružičasto sunce“(Nekazano, 2022) и двуезично чешко-английско изданиеPohraniční krajiny/Borderlandscapes(ExplorerEditions, 2023). Нейни стихове са преведени и публикувани на петнадесет езика, участвала в множество международни поетични фестивали и антологии в Чехия, Словакия, Румъния, Турция, Хърватска, Сърбия и Тунис. От 2012 до 2017 г. работи като учител по френски език в Словакия, в периода 2017-2020 г. като учител по български език и литература към Българското училище “Боян Мага” в Лондон. От март 2020 до май 2023 работи като координатор на литературни и образователни проекти към Чешки център София, а в момента работи в консулския отдел на Словашко посолство в София като преводач и референт за образование, наука и култура. Член на Съюза на чешките и български журналисти, Съюза на българските преводачи, Хърватското книжовно дружество, Чешко-словашката асоциация по сравнително литературознание и др. Носител на няколко международни поетични награди: от чешко-словашкия фестивал “По страните на Моравия 2018″, “Мелнишки Пегас” (2018) от Чехия, “Името на розата” (2018) от Полша, “Амавика” (2019) от Южна Франция в категорията „Франкофония” и поощрителна награда за хайку на Хърватското книжовно дружество за 2019 г.

May you go to this millennium, the Temple of Knowledge. This is definitely a reason to go to the UK, the British Museum, you see thousands of times more than you can think. Teacher Diana&#39;s 3-hour explanation was great, thanking her professionalism for letting us see the dead artifacts lively.

After watching the Buckingham Palace changing ceremony, we arrived at Westminster Abbey. There were a lot of people in the queue, about an hour and a half before entering the church. There is a interpreter at the door, you can choose Chinese. Follow the team and the interpreter is also explained. My favorite is the Matisse-style painting window. The staff in the church is very high quality and the temperament is very good, which is awe-inspiring.

I thought it was a special ride on the Ferris wheel, but the London Eye made me hit the face! When the capsule reached the highest point, I suddenly understood why the British love to chat. The Thames, Big Ben and the debris building look like they are shining in the sun, and it is really different every day. After landing, I found that the photos were all taken as glass reflections. Forget it, leave some regrets to be true.

The Queen&#39;s favorite palace is very luxurious, but it is not allowed to take pictures. It can only be taken outside. When entering, a photo was taken and was stopped by the staff. Knowing the life of the royal family, Windsor Castle is generally very quiet.
