Children aged 4 years and older are invited to participate in a 4-day Learn to Ride course consisting of four one-hour sessions. This course is tailored for kids between 4 to 10 years old aiming to master bike riding with pedals. For optimal preparation, 4-year-olds are advised to attend our Balance Bike course before joining this program. Throughout the four sessions, children will develop the necessary skills and confidence to ride a bike independently. The curriculum covers various essential abilities including mounting, dismounting, balancing, steering, braking, and pedaling. To ensure a safe and progressive learning experience, the bikes' seats will be lowered and pedals removed for the initial three sessions. This setup allows children to practice with the security of being able to touch the ground if needed. The final session focuses on pedaling while performing the acquired skills. The course will take place on Saturdays starting from May 4th, at Aylsham High School Sports Hub, from 1.30-2.30pm. Parents are encouraged to observe all sessions to grasp the teachings and support their child's practice. The cost for the full course is £50 per child, with additional equipment available for borrowing if needed. Proper attire and helmet are mandatory for participants at all times during the sessions. Refunds are applicable up to 7 days before the course commences.
