Children aged 4 years and above have the opportunity to participate in a 4-day Learn to Ride course consisting of four 1-hour sessions. Specifically designed for kids aged 4-10 who are eager to master riding a bike with pedals, this course recommends that 4-year-olds first complete the Balance Bike course. The sessions focus on equipping children with the skills and confidence needed to ride a bike independently, covering important aspects such as fitting a helmet, mounting and dismounting the bike, balancing, steering, braking, and pedaling. The course progresses gradually, with the initial sessions involving lowered seats and removed pedals to ensure a safe and confident learning experience. The final session sees the pedals reattached, allowing children to practice the skills while pedaling. Scheduled on four consecutive dates from April 27th to May 18th, each session runs from 10.45am to 11.45am at Cringleford Primary School in Norwich. Parents are encouraged to observe the sessions to understand the teachings and support their child's practice. The course costs £50 per child, with equipment requirements including a bike and helmet. Helmets are mandatory throughout the sessions, and comfortable clothing suitable for indoor/outdoor conditions is advised. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the course begins.
