Join us for the highly anticipated launch of The Journal of Art & Ecology 2023, showcasing the innovative and thought-provoking work of the graduating cohort from the MA Art & Ecology program at Goldsmiths, University of London. This event will take place at the prestigious George Wood Theatre, located at Goldsmiths, University of London in London on December 8, 2023. 

The Journal of Art & Ecology is a unique platform that provides an online space for emerging artists to present their creative practice and critical reflections on artistic research. This edition of the journal features a diverse range of topics, including urban ecological care, decolonial botany and natural history, sensory and embodied knowledge, neuroqueering ecology, more-than-human agency, representation and infrastructures, and artistic tactics drawing on ecofeminism, Daoism, mycology, and more.

The launch event will include a response by the esteemed Dr. Giovanni Aloi, an expert in the representation of nature and the environment in art. Additionally, there will be a captivating performance by Elizabeth Salazar with Las Witchas Collective, a multidisciplinary Latinx female collective that seeks to create, empower, and inspire.

This event is open to the public, and admission is free. We kindly ask that you register in advance to ensure we can manage capacity and provide any necessary updates. For those unable to attend in person, the launch will be livestreamed for virtual participation.

Please note that photographs will be taken during the event for documentation and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform one of the organizers upon arrival.
