Event Title: Launch Event: 40th Anniversary Issue – Wasafiri 119: Futurisms When: Saturday 28 September, 5-6.30pm BST Where: The Studio, Museum of the Home Join us at the launch of our 40th Anniversary Issue, Wasafiri 119: Futurisms, on 28 September at the Museum of Home in London. This milestone issue brings to the fore writers whose perspectives – on the present and on the future – have historically been sidelined. From fragile and feminist futures, alternative and speculative futures, personal and planetary futures, the issue will showcase a branching network of writing on and around the power of persistence as resistance as we continue to imagine into being futures that defy an increasingly oppressive present. Contributors Malika Booker, Preti Taneja, and Annie Zaidi will treat the audience to readings from their work in the issue, followed by a short conversation with Wasafiri’s Editor and Publishing Director Sana Goyal. Copies of Wasafiri 119: Futurisms, alongside a selection of issues from our forty-year archive, will be on sale at the event. You can also purchase a print copy of Wasafiri 119: Futurisms via our website in advance of the launch event, or subscribe to the magazine. An art installation by Chila Kumari Singh Burman, 'Shiv Ji', is lit up on the Museum's green roof daily, from 9pm to 11pm. Chila Kumari Singh Burman's 'The Smile You Send Returns to You' (2024) graces the cover of our 40th Anniversary Issue, Wasafiri 119: Futurisms.

May you go to this millennium, the Temple of Knowledge. This is definitely a reason to go to the UK, the British Museum, you see thousands of times more than you can think. Teacher Diana&#39;s 3-hour explanation was great, thanking her professionalism for letting us see the dead artifacts lively.

After watching the Buckingham Palace changing ceremony, we arrived at Westminster Abbey. There were a lot of people in the queue, about an hour and a half before entering the church. There is a interpreter at the door, you can choose Chinese. Follow the team and the interpreter is also explained. My favorite is the Matisse-style painting window. The staff in the church is very high quality and the temperament is very good, which is awe-inspiring.

I thought it was a special ride on the Ferris wheel, but the London Eye made me hit the face! When the capsule reached the highest point, I suddenly understood why the British love to chat. The Thames, Big Ben and the debris building look like they are shining in the sun, and it is really different every day. After landing, I found that the photos were all taken as glass reflections. Forget it, leave some regrets to be true.

The Queen&#39;s favorite palace is very luxurious, but it is not allowed to take pictures. It can only be taken outside. When entering, a photo was taken and was stopped by the staff. Knowing the life of the royal family, Windsor Castle is generally very quiet.
