Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is excited to present the Latin Jazz Workshop with the renowned choreographer Maria Torres. This special 90-minute class, led by Season 46 choreographer Maria Torres, offers a unique opportunity for dancers of all levels to experience her expertise while she is in Chicago creating a new work for the Company.

Maria Torres is a world-renowned Choreographer, Director, Producer, and Performer, whose contributions have been instrumental in promoting Latin artists in the arts. With an impressive list of credits including the Broadway and National Tour of Swing!, Seagrams DJ Live Show, and Latin Billboard Awards, Torres has made a significant impact in the industry.

This workshop is designed for dancers with some existing technical dance knowledge. Although suitable for all levels, participants should have a basic understanding of dance techniques to fully engage in the class.

In addition to her artistic achievements, Maria Torres is an active member of SDC and the League of Professional Theater Women. She is also a philanthropist dedicated to encouraging aspiring artists and creating connections within the community. Through the Maria Torres Emerging Artists Foundation (MTEAF), she provides unique opportunities for underprivileged students and determined professional youth to experience the performing arts at the highest level.

Grant Park is also a good place to visit for free. The most common people you see are locals doing outdoor sports. Running is very popular and can be seen at different times of the day. There are also some people walking their dogs.
