Are you ready to commit to being your best self, and have fun while doing it?LaBlast® Fitness, created by Emmy-nominated choreographer & DWTS pro, Louis van Amstel, is a dance fitness program based on all of the ballroom dances you see on Dancing with the Stars. It is partner-free, includes all components of fitness, and uses music from every era & genre.Louis’ well-known saying is ‘if you can clap it, you can dance it’, and the LaBlast program is modeled exactly after that. Clapping the timing of the dance is the first step in understanding the rhythms and being able to execute them correctly. From there, you choose your own intensity by adding optional plyometric movements, light weights, heavy weights, or simply keeping your workout low impact. This is a program that is truly for every BODY at any stage of your fitness journey.MATERIALS REQUIRED: -small hand weights (1 - 5 lbs) -comfortable workout clothes and shoes -water We meet on THURSDAYS from 5 - 6 pm. It’s the best deal in town!This is a FIVE-WEEK COURSE that will begin Thursday October 24th, 2024. Class Instructor: Lori Jacobson Class Dates will be: THURSDAYS 10/24, (NO Class 10/31), 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, (NO Class 11/28), 12/5 Because of scheduling constraints, there will be no Make-Up classes held for this session. All Lee County Lifelong Learning classes must meet a minimum student enrollment or class will be delayed or canceled (if canceled, a full refund will be issued).
