This event is perfect for beginners looking to gain confidence and basic skills in self-defense. The instructor will be going through the nature and seriousness of the dangers of a blade and the crushing power of a stick and how to defend against them. The Instructor will introduce basic tapping techniques, dynamic drills, how to isolate the attacker through locks and holds, redirecting, disarming as well as spacing and footwork will be explored. He will be teaching other effective techniques to off balance an attacker as well. Super easy to navigate from metro to ferry through the park. Helpful and friendly staff when you wanted them, not in your face like other tourist attractions which was such a respite. The island was very calm, good cafe, gift shop and views for days. My one criticism would be the painfully juvenile audio tour recoding (brother and sister). I had to stop listening as it was far too cringey!
