The Sheffield Design Awards proudly presents the Keith Hayman Award for Public Art in 2023. In collaboration with the Sheffield Civic Trust, this esteemed event celebrates and promotes the exceptional public artwork found throughout Sheffield. The ceremony will be held at the renowned Site Gallery in Sheffield City Centre. We are honored to announce that this year's event will also feature a pre-launch of the Sheffield Design Awards, which will take place in 2024 with submissions open next summer.

The Keith Hayman Award recognizes two outstanding contributions to public art annually, one for a sculpture and one for a mural. Public art plays a vital role in enhancing Sheffield's unique and distinctive character, creating spaces that are cherished by the community and positively impacting our well-being. This award commemorates Keith Hayman, a founding member of the Sheffield Civic Trust and a dedicated artist. His passion for town planning and environmentalism, demonstrated during his career at Sheffield City Council, left a lasting impact on the quality of the public realm.

We invite you to join us for an evening of reflection and appreciation for the remarkable artistic endeavors taking place in our city. The format of the evening will include welcome drinks in the Kollective Kitchen at Site Gallery, followed by the ceremony itself. Networking opportunities will be available after the ceremony concludes.

Every year when snooker is played, the BBC will do a live show here. There is a table next to it, with two balls in each pocket. You are given a few shots to clear the table. If you clear the table, you will have the opportunity to compete with a famous snooker player.
