ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Katie Sturino
 
is an entrepreneur, author and body acceptance advocate. Through her personal platforms @katiesturino, she lends her voice and personal style to raise awareness for size inclusivity, empowering women of all sizes to find their confidence and celebrate their style. Her regular content series, #SuperSizeTheLook and #MakeMySize have gone viral, reaching millions of people and attracting global media attention.
Katie is also the founder of MEGABABE, an innovative beauty brand offering non-toxic, solution-oriented products that allow people to feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin.
With her book 
Body Talk
, an illustrated workbook released in 2021, and her debut novel 
Sunny Side Up
 (Celadon Books, 2025), Katie leans into her signature candor and humor to tell stories that empower women to improve the relationship they have with their body.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Mechanics’ Hall is located at 519 Congress Street. Our main entrance is between Loquat Shop and the Art Mart. The Greater Portland Metro’s Congress & Casco Street Stop is directly in front of our building, served by 
routes 1, 7, 8, and 9B
.
Parking is available at the 
Arts District Garage
, which has entrances on Casco and Brown Street, with a rate of $5 per hour. Metered street parking is available on Congress, Casco, Cumberland, Free Street, and other nearby streets. Free hourly street parking is available between Parris and Alder Street.
ACCESSIBILITY
To enter our building, patrons will need to navigate a single step or use a 
modular wheelchair ramp
. There is a wheelchair-accessible elevator to the third-floor ballroom.
