Author and poet Katie Hale will introduce her new novel, The Edge of Solitude, in conversation with Jenna Warren from Book Corner. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.  Set in Antarctica, the novel tells the story of Ivy: a disgraced environmental activist. Desperate to redeem her reputation, she joins a billionaire's ambitious Antarctic conservation scheme - but as the ship journeys further south, she struggles to tell who she can trust, and which relationships are worth trying to save. Katie won a Northern Debut Award for her poetry collection, White Ghosts, and is the author of two novels: The Edge of Solitude and My Name is Monster. She is a former MacDowell Fellow, and winner of the Palette Poetry Prize, Munster Chapbook Prize, and Aesthetica Creative Writing Prize. Her short fiction has been longlisted for the BBC National Short Story Award, and she has held Writer in Residence positions in numerous countries, including Australia, the US and Svalbard. A very historical town. The car shuttled through the streets and alleys of Bath, and it turned out that this is the hometown of &quot;Jane Austen&quot;, the female writer who wrote &quot;Pride and Prejudice&quot;. Simple, beautiful, leisurely, peaceful, elegant and quiet. It can only be said that it is difficult to describe its beauty. very nice. There are many tourists, but it is very orderly. The air is also very good. It felt nice to take a quiet walk.

Bath&#39;s most famous attraction is also one of the most magnificent Georgian buildings in the UK. The Crescent Building is a group of 30 connected houses. It looks like a crescent moon from the distant mountains, and it echoes the circus, which represents the sun. There is a lawn for tourists and local residents to rest and play.

House No. 1 is a museum (don&#39;t go if you don&#39;t want to go), two houses in the middle have been converted into hotels (very expensive), and the rest are private property. It&#39;s very beautiful when the sun is full~
