This October we're running a 5 day Holiday Learn to Row Course which will be a great opportunity for young people who have not tried rowing before to have a go and learn, not only how to row in single boat but also how to work as a crew. Experienced rowers will benefit from coaching focused on pushing their skills to be come better and more confident rowers. Sessions Monday 28th October - Friday 1st November 14:00 - 16:00pm This week-long course is designed to teach you the basics of rowing and help you discover if it's the sport for you. Throughout the course, you'll learn: The rowing strokeHow to row as part of a crewHow to safely get a boat on and off the waterHow to use a rowing machineIf you already have some experience, our skilled coaches will help you refine your technique. The course includes four and a half water sessions and a half session in the gym followed by a thorough safety brief. This course is open to: Children aged 12–18All fitness levelsBoth beginners and experienced rowersAll participants must be able to swim although buoyancy aids are mandatory (though we don’t anticipate needing this skill, it’s required for safety). You'll be taught how to scull (row with two oars) by experienced rowers and coaches. If you have any special requirements, please let us know in advance. Spaces are limited, and there's been a lot of interest, so be sure to book your spot as soon as possible! Cancellations & Rescheduling It is possible a course or a session may need to be cancelled or rescheduled. Examples include: Weather: If lightning or excessively high wind speeds are forecast, making it dangerous to be on the water, we will be indoors.In any such eventualities we will communicate directly to arrange rescheduling or refunds, or you can contact us via your eventbrite booking.

Today, I was fortunate to embark on a cultural journey across time and space under the guidance of teacher Diana, starting from the glorious civilization of ancient Egypt, as if I was riding a time machine and traveling through the history and art of all parts of the world.

Teacher Diana from Beijing is elegant and knowledgeable, as if the entire British Museum is her &quot;home&quot;. She knows every exhibit well, just like taking a walk in her own back garden, and every detail is at her fingertips. Her explanation is easy to understand, rigorous and professional, and full of fun, which makes people sigh at her profound knowledge and expression ability.

At the beginning, I was still worried that the three-hour guided tour would be too long, but soon found that the worry was completely unnecessary. Every minute was full of surprises and gains, time passed quickly, and in the end I felt that I was still not satisfied! If there is a chance, I will definitely sign up for a ten-hour or even longer in-depth tour without hesitation.

What impressed me more was the strong &quot;Beijing gene&quot; in teacher Diana. Her hearty atmosphere and humor made the whole explanation process both friendly and vivid, completely breaking the stereotype of traditional museum tours. When I listened to her explanation, I often couldn&#39;t help but smile while concentrating on the exhibits. It felt like listening to Song Dandan&#39;s jokes - interesting but thought-provoking.

As a museum lover, I always believe that an excellent guide can make a museum shine with a new charm. And Teacher Diana is the kind of person who can make a museum &quot;alive&quot;.
