Kingston upon Thames Events in April, 2025

In this workshop, participants will learn about Japanese painting and its techniques, and create their own A5 artwork inspired by Iwasaki Tsunemasa's Honzo Zufu (本草図譜), a vast chronicle of botany from 18th and 19th century Japan. Participants will be taught how to use Japanese brushes, ink and Gansai (Japanese Watercolour) paints on Washi paper, and how to mount their artwork onto a wooden panel at the end of the session. The workshop is suitable for all ability levels, ages 12+. All materials are provided. This workshop is hosted by CASS Art Kingston. I had an amazing experience at Chessington World of Adventures! The rides were thrilling, especially the Mandrill Mayhem roller coaster, which was definitely my favourite! The Gruffalo River Ride was perfect for the whole family. We explored the zoo and aquarium, where we got to see some incredible animals up close, and the Sea Life Center had an underwater tunnel that was really cool. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with fun and laughter
