Mercado Art Studios (M A S) presents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in trying their hand at pottery on the wheel. Join us for an introductory class on wheel throwing, where you can unleash your creativity and acquire a new skill. This two-hour session offers a chance to create up to two pots using the potters wheel. Perfect for a fun night out, this event can also make for a unique date night or a memorable experience with a friend. Led by experienced instructors, this group class provides each attendee with their own potter's wheel. Learn the art of centering clay, pulling up the walls, and shaping your vessels into cups, bowls, dishes, or vases. Get acquainted with the tools used for clay throwing and gain knowledge on setting up and cleaning your potter's wheel. The class is scheduled from 4pm to 6pm and includes all necessary materials such as clay, tools, and aprons. Additionally, the price of $75 per person covers two firings and glazing of your clay creations. Rest assured, our studio techs will handle the processing of your works, applying the glaze color of your choice. Once your pieces are ready for pickup, you will receive a courtesy text notification. Please note that Mercado Art Studio can store your works for up to two weeks, after which all unclaimed works will be donated. Located in Hallandale Beach, Mercado Art Studio has been a part of the community for over two years. Offering a range of pottery classes, courses, and memberships, our studio provides a welcoming space for artists of all levels.
