New to handling a handgun? The Intro to Practical Defensive Pistol class is designed for individuals with limited or no experience in handling firearms. Led by NRA Advanced Instructor, Jim Benoit, this comprehensive introductory class focuses on defensive shooting techniques. Participants will learn essential skills such as safe gun handling, proper grip, stance, and sight picture alignment. With a curriculum tailored for both men and women, the class covers topics like Use of Force, Defensive Mindset, Draw, and Shot Placement. In a safe and supportive environment, students will practice shooting at multiple targets, emphasizing muzzle discipline and trigger control. The class also introduces shooting while in motion. Whether you are looking to enhance existing skills or develop new ones, this class offers the opportunity to train alongside like-minded individuals. The class requires 50-100 rounds of ammunition, with a tuition fee of $190 inclusive of range fees. A 50% deposit secures your spot, with a deposit policy in place for cancellations or rescheduling. Note that the class is restricted to US Citizens / Legal Residents due to ITAR regulations. For the upcoming event on May 11, 2024, at Northern Chester County Sportsmen's Club in Elverson, PA, ticket prices are set at $95. Participants are required to bring their own handgun, eye and ear protection, and other necessary equipment outlined in the course description.
