One-day workshop aimed at supporting actors, directors and other creative practitioners/leaders with navigating intimacy in performance.Eve will explore the importance of understanding how to approach intimate content and how integrating a professional structure into the workflow of a production supports the promotion of brave and inclusive creative spaces for all those involved. Eve will define ‘intimate content’ and present practical exercises for negotiating consent, choreographing intimate physicality and clarifying story, offering a process to navigate intimacy, which acknowledges and honours performers’ boundaries, whist unlocking dramatic potential and enhancing creative storytelling. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop involves group exercises exploring consent, as well as the opportunity to choreograph a moment of intimate physicality within groups, applying the methodology explored during the first half of the workshop. In the spirit of the IC practice, the practical exercises offered as part of this workshop are invitational.
