Join us in Derry on December 10th for the International Human Rights Day Event for Gaza, a thought-provoking and impactful gathering to raise awareness and support for the people of Gaza. The event, held at the Carlisle Road Methodist Church, will feature a powerful play-reading, mesmerizing music, and inspiring poetry. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians, an organization dedicated to providing vital medical assistance to those in need.

We are honored to have the esteemed saxophonist Keith Donald, renowned for his work with the Irish super-group Moving Hearts, grace us with his presence. This rare opportunity to witness his mastery firsthand is not to be missed. Poet and dramatist Damian Gorman, known for his compelling work on the lives of John and Pat Hume, will also be part of the event. His poem, STOP, will echo with the urgency and emotion of a ceasefire call.

Adding to the event's significance, we will present a rehearsed reading of The Revolution's Promise, performed by The Freedom Theatre from Jenin Refugee Camp in Palestine. Local actors and activists, including the Oscar-nominated writer Dave Duggan, will join forces to bring this powerful piece to life. The reading will be expertly directed by Artistic Director Patricia Byrne.

This year's theme for International Human Rights Day, Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All, holds particular resonance for the people of Gaza. We invite everyone to attend this essential event and contribute to this worthy cause. Seats are limited, so be sure to book your place early. A suggested donation of £10 is greatly appreciated.
