Lives Like Skyscrapers, Chime of Wrens & Friends. Join us for an evening of indie folk featuring a stripped down performance by Lives Like Skyscrapers and a solo performance by Chime of Wrens.
Bios
Lives Like Skyscrapers primarily based out of Ottawa draws influences from a range of genres including indie rock, post rock, folk, chamber pop and americana. Singer songwriter Ryan Neeb tells stories of grief, anguish and love expressed in an abstract manner. The instrumentation delivers undertones of hope and optimism, forging intricate soundscapes and explosive walls of sound.Chime of Wrens is Tom Thompson, an incredibly talented pedal steel player who will do a solo performance.
Accolades
Lives Like Skyscrapers have had the privilege of playing a lot of cool rooms over the past couple of years including Cameron House (Toronto), P'tit Ours (Montreal), Dive Bar (Waterloo) and Irene's (Ottawa) to name a few. We recently played and sold out Live On Elgin (another fantastic room). We have shared the stage with Ron Leary, Mike Dubue (Hilotrons, TimberTimbre, Sadies) and Raphael Weinroth-Browne, to name just a few.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO
We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.
We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options.
This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.

Parliament Hill is the office of the Canadian government and is usually closed to the public. Now there is a light show every night at 5:30, which projects pictures with constantly changing colors and music. The whole show is about 10 minutes long and is played in a loop all night.

The Byward neighborhood is centered around the Byward Market, which is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, and a Quanjude store. The stalls in the Byward Market are small, and they sell food, clothing, handicrafts, and tourist souvenirs. On one side of the market is Obama&#39;s Internet celebrity bakery, and on the other side is a cafe and chocolate chain Rocky Mountain.
