Director and Choreographer Pioneer Winter's mother passed away at age 37; now that Pioneer is her same age, he wonders if an African Grey parrot - given away after her death - still carries his mother's voice.
This personal journey unfolds onstage through an intergenerational cast of women in their early 60s and blending dance, spoken word, and dreamlike imagery. The performance dives into the fantastical premise of seeking a mother's spirit within a missing bird.
Join us on the YoungArts patio, after the performance, to wrap up the 2025 O, Miami Poetry Festival!
