LOCATION: San Francisco, CA***Please arrive 15 minutes before the class start time.*** Improv 4: Top Of Your IntelligenceSix Week Course | Adults Only (18+) Del Close, influential improv teacher and director (San Francisco’s The Committee, and Chicago’s iO), instructed legendary improvisors to “play to the top of your intelligence.” In keeping with this wisdom, Leela trains improvisers to practice specificity, connect patterns, recognize themes, and add their own unique wisdom into the mix, weaving together the personal, political, and universal for improv that leans forward. By slowing down and thinking on the spot, you will learn to co-create riveting theatre that illuminates, challenges and transforms both the performers and the audience. Torwards the end of this course students perform together in a graduation show. Prerequisite: Improv 3: Commitment to Craft or instructor approval. Then wait in the lobby next to the security guard until a Leela representative comes to greet you and direct you to the classroom. Please be sure to bring your ID as you will need to sign-in with the SF Chronicle building security in the lobby once you have arrived and checked in with the box office attendee. Thank you!
