Join the Coalition Theater's Improv 201: Characters & Relationships program! This Level 2 training course will enhance your improv skills and help you create engaging two-person scenes, which are essential to longform improv. The class will take place in person at the Coalition Theater in Richmond, VA. Sessions are scheduled on Sundays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, starting on January 21st and lasting for 8 weeks. The program will conclude with a showcase during the week of March 12th. 

J McClain, a talented instructor with a background in theater and performance art, will guide you through this exciting journey. With 4 years of experience working with the Coalition, J McClain brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. They currently perform with the house team Street Jelly and previously were part of the house team Grandma Cat.

This course is designed for individuals who have completed the Intro to Improv class and are eager to deepen their understanding of improv or improve their interpersonal skills. By focusing on emotional reactions, you'll learn how to create sustainable scenes that are rooted in patterns of emotional behavior, resulting in well-developed characters and relationships.
