Directed by Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue, with Zhang Yimou as the artistic consultant, “Impression Wulong” is an amazing performance featuring more than 100 actors. Using the disappearing traditional Plains & Rivers musical form for the majority of the show, the 70-minute long performance gives audiences the chance to experience Chongqing's beautiful natural landscape and unique customs. The theater in which “Impression Wulong” is performed is the Taoyuan Grand Canyon, about 9 kilometers from Xianüshan Town.

I took the Yangtze River Cableway in Chongqing as a souvenir. It&#39;s the off-season now, so it wasn&#39;t too crowded, but the cableway was packed, like riding a bus. The whole ride was just over 3 minutes long, which was short.

This zoo visit was fantastic! The park was beautiful, with shady trees, wide paths, and clear signage, so I didn&#39;t get lost at all. The animal enclosures were spacious and simulated natural environments; I could see tigers pacing on artificial hills and monkeys leaping among the trees.

The panoramic view of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers in Chongqing at night is breathtaking!

The only downside was that the three of us didn&#39;t know how to get to the pier to board the boat. Because of time constraints, we were forced to pay an extra 60 yuan for directions! Actually, we later learned that the pier was right outside the first floor of Hongyadong!

Don&#39;t be silly and not know this!

We took a bus to Baidi City and bought tickets for a deep cruise on the Qutang Gorge. The weather was sunny and the lighting was great, making for excellent photos. The scenery of the Three Gorges was so magnificent that we didn&#39;t want to leave!

Impression Wulong focuses on its natural environment, not flashy commercial performances. The show, themed around the culture of boat trackers, the Sichuan River boat songs, and the intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan and Chongqing, was created by the Zhang Yimou Impression team and lasts 70 minutes. A scheduled bus to Impression Wulong is available from the visitor center for 10 yuan per person, covering a distance of 9 kilometers, with the last bus leaving at 6:50 PM. Customer service was attentive and helpful throughout the entire trip. Local taxi and ride-hailing drivers believe the platform fares are unreasonable, negotiating any ride they order, with a one-way price of 40 to 50 yuan, rather than the platform price. Most touchingly, when we left at 9:00 PM and there were no return buses or ride-hailing services, the scenic area staff, upon learning of our departure, stopped us from a distance and arranged for an employee driving home to take us to the hotel entrance, refusing to charge us a penny. Another employee, likely a director or choreographer, explained the culture of boat trackers and Chongqing&#39;s intangible cultural heritage along the way. There are so many kind people in this world!
