Discover the fundamentals of illustration and adornment on ceramic with the ancient Italian technique of sgraffito at the Illustration in Clay event. This class offers a unique opportunity for artists of all levels to explore the exciting possibilities of surface design on clay. Led by Alchemy staff member Cozette Ellis, participants will learn the basics of sgraffito and create beautiful motifs and patterns to enhance their ceramic pieces. The class also provides the chance to experiment with human figures, adding a personal touch to your artwork.

Whether you are an experienced ceramicist looking to expand your repertoire or new to working with clay, this class is designed to accommodate all skill levels. It will be held in the clay studio located in the main art building on the AAC campus in Friday Harbor, WA.
