We’re going back to our roots! House of Apollo honours the legacy of chosen families, and the power of community in claiming space. In a time where our rights are being threatened globally and locally, House of Apollo is a reminder that we’ve always been here, queer, and resilient. Before there were gay bars in Saskatoon, queer people found safety and community in places like the Apollo Room—a discrete bar tucked inside the former Ritz Hotel. Named after the Apollo 11 mission, the bar became an unlikely space for the queer community to connect. On June 27th we want to reconnect with you and all of our pals. You don’t want to miss this one, it’s gonna be out of this world. Proceeds for this event will benefit Saskatoon Sexual Health, an organization that provides safe and inclusive sexual health services to Saskatoon and the surrounding area.
Tickets: $15 early bird until Friday June 6th, $30 regular, $35 @ door (limited quantity) plus applicable fees + taxes.
