Well Wishes and Dirty Dishes Creative Workshop | Room & Board

Sip, create, and celebrate, join us for a happy hour art experience guided by 2026 Featured Artist Bennett Join us for a happy hour and hands-on art-making experience on the stunning Room and Board rooftop, led by Cherry Creek Arts Festival's 2026 Poster Artist, Bennett! During this workshop, Bennett will demonstrate her creative process as a self-taught artist. Participants will be provided with all the tools and supplies needed to create their own version of this year's CCAF poster: Well Wishes and Dirty Dishes . No previous painting experience required. All art supplies, food, and beverages included. About the Artist: Bennett’s work blends nostalgia with evolution, rooted in childhood memories of painting alongside her grandmother, who inspired her with the use of a spatula as her primary tool. After rediscovering her passion post-college, her practice grew into a process-driven exploration of style. Originally from Huntsville, with formative years in Nashville, her music-inspired pieces, especially her guitars, gained local recognition. When she decided to leave the conventional nine-to-five job, it marked a transformative period in her life, inspiring a wave of abstract works that culminated in a vibrant mixed media style. By combining elements like mid-century advertising, acrylic mediums, and photography, Bennett creates a pop art-inspired funk aesthetic on wood. She now humbly hangs her hat in the city of Atlanta . The city’s rhythm and energy will continue to stir and ignite a creative process born in the Deep South while keeping her grandmother's artistic spirit close to her heart. Check out her work here! DAIKAIJU VS. SHWARMA AND NIGHTFISHING AT THE CRYPT!!! | The Crypt

DAIKAIJU ATTACKS DENVER, CO AGAIN AND BATTLES SHWARMA AND NIGHT FISHING AT THE CRYPT ON FRIDAY, MAY 29TH-GO!!! "This is what you need to know about Daikaiju: They're loud. They're all instrumental (duh). And they're the band to see if you want to experience surf rock at its most offensive." - Kelly Weidman, The Informer Daikaiju is a mysterious chimera of sound and imagery that was first sighted in the winter of 1999. Entities of sonic mayhem, Daikaiju takes the sound of waves crashing and shrieking atomic lizards and makes it rock in a way that instills shock and awe in all who experience their shows-a highly interactive and confrontational performance that literally draws the audience into the massive vortex of sound generated by the band. Concealed behind masks, this troupe of mystery people create a mutant style of epic, high energy instrumental rock that seamlessly incorporates a wide variety of musical styles including surf, punk, noise, metal, psychedelic and progressive rock. Like its namesake, the music of Daikaiju is a great, mysterious beast. Compelling melodies, hard-hitting riffs and shifting dynamics fuse together to create songs that dare the listener to experience the secret history of the universe-a fantastic reality of giant monsters, super humans, and extraterrestrial invasions that unfolds like the soundtrack of the greatest monster movie never made. https://www.daikaiju.org https://www.shwarma.band https://nightfishing303.bandcamp.com/ Information Source: Daikaiju | eventbrite
