Internationally renowned dance company, Richard Chappell Dance, is set to present their latest creation, "Hot House," at The House in Plymouth this spring. This powerful and transformative evening is a passionate response to the current cost-of-living crisis, aiming to share the frustration many people are feeling and turning it into a celebration of collective generosity. The show will provide a space for individuals to come together and be uplifted by the extraordinary ensemble of performers, showcasing the joy of movement and music. The soundscape of "Hot House" has been influenced by Chinese, Indian, and European classical music, with rearrangements and performances by violinist Enyuan Khong and electronic music duo Larch.

Following the success of Richard Chappell Dance's previous production, "Infinite Ways Home," this bold and unique performance blurs the boundaries between a concert and a bonfire, creating an unforgettable experience. The production is commissioned by Dance City and supported by Arts Council England and The Linbury Trust, with residency support from Dance City, Exeter Phoenix, National Dance Company Wales, and DanceEast.

The creative team behind "Hot House" includes Choreographer and Artistic Director Richard Chappell Dance, Lighting Designers Joshua Harriette and Ed Saunders, Production Manager Charlie Knight, Costume Styling and Rehearsal Director Faye Stoeser, Dramaturg Neus Gil Cortes, and Composers Larch and Enyuan Khong. Choreographic Facilitators Rob Anderson and Kevin Table also contribute to the production.
