Join the Hometown Heroes' Festival Wiffle Ball Tournament in Auburn at Williams Township Park. This exciting tournament features both a Competitive Division and a Fast Pitch Social Division. The Competitive Division requires a $50 entry fee per team, with prize money awarded based on the number of teams competing. The field size for both divisions is 85 feet in right and left field, and 90 feet in center field. Hitting rules are clearly defined, with spray-painted lines indicating hits. A single line is positioned 41 feet from home plate, a double line at 70 feet, and a triple requires hitting the fence. A bobbled ball is considered a hit. Base running involves ghost runners who advance the same number of bases as the hitter. The strike zone is 22 inches wide by 30 inches tall and positioned a foot off the ground. Only official yellow skinny Wiffle ball bats are allowed. Pool play and bracket play are both part of the tournament, with each team playing two pool play games. All teams advance to the bracket play, where a bracket is constructed based on record. If teams have the same record, run differential is used to determine placement. Bracket play is single elimination. The Fast Pitch Social Division is free to enter, with the prize being bragging rights. The mound to strike zone distance is 32 feet for this division.
