Organized in partnership with the Palm Springs Unified School District, this event is hosted by the esteemed Desert Art Center. During the event, grants totaling $10,000 will be awarded to each of the six high school art departments in the Palm Springs Unified School District. These grants will be given based on a portfolio of students' exceptional artworks.

The High School Art Show & Competition will honor the exceptional achievements of the participating students. Winners will be recognized in various categories, including first, second, third place, and honorable mention. First place winners will have the exclusive opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork in the main gallery of the Desert Art Center for a whole year.
