Here&Now, a dance presentation series produced by Aeris Körper, showcases the talent of four innovative choreographers. This exciting event, held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, invites audiences to immerse themselves in the captivating works of Canada’s rising stars in the dance world. The program features a diverse range of dance styles, including breaking, contemporary, and dance theatre, providing a dynamic and engaging experience for both newcomers and seasoned attendees.

Throughout the evening, audiences will have the opportunity to engage with the choreographers through insightful talk-back sessions hosted by Shannon Kitchings. This unique element adds depth to the performances, allowing for a deeper understanding of the creative process and the stories behind the works.

The debut lineup for Here&Now includes thought-provoking pieces such as "Pillar of You," choreographed by Métis, Franco-Manitoban artist Kéïta Fournier-Pelletier. This exploration delves into the intersection of queerness with personal experiences and memories. Another standout performance is "Binary Codes," choreographed by Bryce Taylor, which challenges binary-centric thinking through an innovative blend of breaking and stage presentation.

Additionally, audiences will be moved by "Nobody Falls," choreographed by Saysah (Yas), a poignant piece that navigates themes of Black grief, polyamorous breakup, and queer imagination with the support of ancestral intervention. Lastly, "Alone in the Living Room," choreographed by Nicole Jacobs, offers an exploration of the self and the enigmatic nature of the human experience.
