We are celebrating the brand new Copenhagen equivalent bike infrastructure in Stockport, branded ‘The Helix Ramp’ and we’re doing it in the only way we know how - by riding up, down and around it.. Alongside the seriously cool new Helix, we’re also excited to showcase two alternative routes between Stockport and our Station South home in Levenshulme - both of which will be included on the ride. We’ll stop for delicious refreshments  at Station South before circling back to the Stockport Spiral and returning back to the start point at Stockport Train Station. See ride information below, but if you have any questions, please drop Anna a line at : community@stationsouth.co.uk ----------------------RIDE INFORMATION!---------------------&gt; Meet : In front of Stockport Train Station   &gt; Date : 24th October &gt; Time : Meet : 12.50pm, depart : 1pm  &gt; Distance : 12 km / 7.5 miles &gt; Terrain : Quiet roads, cycle paths and trails &gt; Speed : Unpaced - we ride at a speed which the whole group is comfortable with. &gt; Suitable for : Adults over 18 years who have experience of riding on the road and confident with the distance &gt; Route :  &gt; Ride Leaders : Anna Smith and Kathy England ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Additional information : &gt; We expect to be out for around 2-2.5 hours so please bring water and adequate clothing. &gt; Please wear a helmet. This is a non-dropping ride, but please make sure you are comfortable with the route and distance before booking. &gt; We ride rain or shine but if the weather is really adverse, please check your inboxes in the morning. &gt; Please make sure your bikes are in good condition. We will do a group bike check before setting off, but we won’t be able to ride with anyone whose bike isn’t roadworthy. These rides are kindly funded by Stockport Council and Transport for Greater Manchester.If for any reason your circumstances change and you can no longer join us, please cancel your slot on EventBrite with as much warning as possible and we can give your space to someone else.
