Experience the Handbuilding The Argyll Collection workshop at Dunoon Burgh Hall, located at 195 Argyll Street, Dunoon, PA23 7DD. Delve into the creative essence of the Argyll Collection by learning hand-building techniques to craft your own air-dried clay sculpture, drawing inspiration from Katie Horsman’s Sleck Cow and other ceramics on display. Taking place on Wednesday, 24 April from 11.00am to 1.00pm, this complimentary class provides all necessary materials. Participants are welcome to enhance their creations with additional items such as flowers, leaves, or fabrics for added texture. Completed pieces will be left to dry, then painted with acrylics and sealed for durability. Although not suitable for food or drink use, the finished artworks can be taken home. Reservation is essential as spaces are limited to 8 individuals aged 16 and above. The workshop is part of ‘Awaken, The Argyll Collection’ exhibition, running from 10 to 28 April, Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00am to 4.00pm. This initiative is made possible by the CHARTS project, funded by the Art Fund with support from various organizations.
