This December, Seattle Balloon Company will once again illuminate the Green Lake shoreline, adding a vibrant touch to the annual "Path of Lights" celebration. This will be the fifth year that illuminated balloons have joined the "Path of Lights," although weather conditions sometimes prevent them from taking flight. This free community event will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The balloons are expected to inflate around 4:30 p.m. and remain illuminated until 5:30 p.m. (weather permitting), with the event concluding at 7:30 p.m.
Every December, thousands of Seattleites stroll along the Green Lake Loop Trail, enjoying the breathtaking view of the 2.8-mile-long trail illuminated by candlelight after nightfall, celebrating the Green Lake Lights Festival. This year, thanks to a partnership with the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation, Seattle Balloon Company will showcase five full-size balloons. Each balloon is approximately eight stories tall.
Visitors can stroll among the shimmering hot air balloons, meet the pilots, and learn about the principles of flight. These enormous balloons are equipped with propane burners that emit rhythmic glows. The event usually also includes complimentary refreshments and live music.
The Seattle Balloon Company's latest event in downtown Seattle in June attracted over 15,000 people! If you missed that event, the Green Lake Balloon Festival is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the balloons, especially with children. The Green Lake Balloon Festival offers a similar visual feast, but earlier and more family-friendly.

You can walk to the Seattle 520 Bridge from Bellevue, as shown in Figure 1. There is also a beautiful park and parking lot here. If you like to walk across the bridge, you can reach Seattle. If you like to take the bus, you can also do so. The bus station is just below the parking lot. There are many buses and the waiting time is not long. It is very convenient.

Especially when it&rsquo;s such a famous public university like the University of Washington. Gary Locke, former Microsoft chairman&hellip; they all graduated from UW. Bill Gates&rsquo; father, a well-known lawyer, once taught at its law school. Bruce Lee also studied here, and it was where he met his wife.

Later, I visited UW&rsquo;s Suzzallo Library&mdash;often referred to as the real-life &ldquo;Harry Potter Library.&rdquo; It grandeur rivals that of the Boston Public Library. The UW School of Medicine also ranks extremely high, consistently alongside Harvard and Stanford. Its programs in clinical medicine and public health are also highly ranked.
