The Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies and the MFA in Print Media are pleased to announce an upcoming event, the Graduate Lecture: Deborah Freedman. Deborah Freedman is a highly acclaimed painter and printmaker whose work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Artists Space, and The Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design. Her art has also been featured at international locations including The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Hong Kong. In addition to gallery exhibits at esteemed institutions like The Painting Center and the Albright Knox Gallery, Freedman's artwork can be found in various corporate and private collections, including The New York Public Library and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. On September 4th, 2023, she will be showcasing her solo exhibit at Susan Eley Fine Art in NYC. Deborah Freedman has an extensive educational background, having studied at N. Y. U. with influential mentors such as Knox Martin, Audrey Flack, James Wines, and Robert Blackburn. Her talent has been recognized with a MacDowell Colony Fellowship and a guest artist position at the Printmaking Workshop.
