Global Game Jam is a worldwide game jam where everyone takes part in a local site. Cats Making Games is running a hybrid site for Kilkenny, running on both a discord server and two in person events in Kilkenny Mayfair library. More details on the Global Game Jam site here. This event page is for kicking off GGJ with a theme reveal, and collectively brainstorm ing around the theme. If you can't make it in person, you can watch the theme reveal streamed on the discord and take part from home. There'll also be a brief primer on how Downpour works, a simple game engine that's easy to get started with. Everyone can then spend the rest of the time making a simple game of their own.
