Gemstone Faceting Instructor: Mike Froebe Date: 6 Part Class - Janurary 12th, 15th, 17th, 20h, 22nd, & 24th all from 6pm-9pm(18 hours total) Ages 18 & up $375 All supplies provided Beginning Introduction to selecting and faceting gemstones. Students will be provided with a rough stone to cut, and will be lead through the steps needed to create their own faceted gem to keep. The class will cover the workings of faceting machines, a bit of optics (no math required), and the fine art of polishing gem stones. Students will learn: what to look for in gem rough. How to use a faceting machine, how light reacts inside of a gem to give it it's sparkle. How to find the resources and expertise to further develop their skills! - Please Read Below - Check your email a few days before your class for further instructions. Our classroom is located upstairs and are limited to 4 students for this class. You are purchasing a seat at an event just like a sporting event or concert. These tickets are not transferable to a different class credit or store credit if you are not able to make it. Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a refund.

The Space Needle is actually quite nice. It is even more beautiful on sunny days! Seattle is not like other big cities in the United States. It actually has a petty-bourgeois feel! The Museum of Pop and Chihuly Glass Tube near the Space Needle are both great to visit! I forgot the ticket price, but it seemed to be more than $30. I like the big lawn behind the Space Needle, and then walk along the park towards the coastline. In the evening, I gradually see the sunset slowly appearing between the houses. It is so romantic! The top of the Space Needle is also decorated as a Christmas tree on Christmas! This little thought is so lovely!

Chihuly is a gorgeous work of art near the space needle.   The interior museum features beautiful glass installations. my favorite was the atrium with the glass flowers.

The Seattle Museum of Flight is located next to Boeing. It is divided into two exhibition areas, indoor and outdoor, and mainly displays Boeing products: from transport aircraft, fighter jets to passenger aircraft. There is also a wax figure of Premier Zhou and Nixon shaking hands, with the background being the Air Force One that Nixon took during his first visit to China in 1972.
