This exclusive event, titled "Gallery Visit & Artist Talk with Fred Ullrich," offers AZPA members and photography collectors an opportunity to explore Fred's black-and-white work from the past eight years. Delve into the remnants of early city architecture and midcentury modern buildings within Phoenix's current boundaries. Fred will discuss his personal interest in Phoenix's architecture and his methods of using and exposing sheet film. He will also share his techniques for printing silver gelatin large-format negatives with a variable-contrast enlarger. Don't miss the chance to purchase Fred's captivating photographs, including images with custom frames and archival matting by John Kitts. The event is free and open to 25 AZPA members with RSVP. Fred Ullrich, a highly accomplished photographer, studied photography at the University of Wisconsin and Arizona State University. With a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University, Fred worked for nearly three decades at Fermilab, where he documented the fundamental research of physicists and engineers. His remarkable photographs have been featured in publications across Europe and the US and are sought after by collectors nationwide. In 2013, Fred established his fine art photographic practice in downtown Phoenix. Experience the artistry and intricacies of Phoenix through Fred's lens.

Phoenix Zoo is located in Tempe Arizona and it is by far one of the best zoos I have been to. There are many attractions to the zoo like the wildlife. Phoenix Zoo has places like sea life walk where you can go see the sea life. The have a trail called Desert trail where you can see all the desert animals. they also have an area where you can see all the flowers in Arizona. they have a kid&#39;s land for just the kids they have a water park for the kids the animals that you see are mainly ones that you would see in a safari because it is a desert. Arizona You Don&#39;t See Much of like polar bears. it&#39;s a great little Zoo it&#39;s not too big not too little and I highly suggest if you&#39;re going to go to the Phoenix Zoo do not go in the summer I would plan to come in the winter where is more nice not so hot and you&#39;ll see a lot more animals than if you were to come in the summer it is 120&deg; here in Arizona during the summer and in the winter it gets up to about 70&deg; during the day so be a perfect time to come in the Winter.

It was a really big park. I went from the southern end along the canal trail to the north end and stopped at the rocky cave, which took about an hour. It was a great place to relax, exercise and picnic. I loved the change between the green spaces around the lake and the arid areas filled with cactus. And was stunned by the bird life around. It is really hot so apply sunscreen and bring enough water.

You can see the sunrise and sunset of Phoenix here
I went there twice this year
I arrived at around 8am in March to see the blue sky and wild flowers
I arrived at around 5am in June to see many tourists waiting for the sunrise
This place is right next to the zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden
Free attractions
Travel route
Bring breakfast and watch the sunrise and have breakfast at the Cave in the Stone
Then go to the Desert Botanical Garden at around 8am to see all kinds of desert plants and animals
At noon, have a good meal at the restaurant in the botanical garden
If you like, go to the zoo in the afternoon (but I don&#39;t like it)
