The artist’s paintings are informed by the disturbing reports about the harmful impacts of industrial mining processes on food production, human health and local biodiversity in Katanga in the Central part of the DRC, to where Kamuanga’s father and mother both trace their origins. The event will take place in the gallery’s ground floor and has disabled access. About Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga. Kamuanga’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Saatchi Gallery, UK; Kunsthaus, Graz, Austria; Frist Art Museum, Nashville, TN, USA; Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Birmingham, UK; and the Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK. Gloucester Cathedral is an ancient and spectacular mega-church in southern England, which became a place of pilgrimage 1300 years ago, and houses King Edward II of England. The church&rsquo;s Gothic architecture is beautiful, very spacious inside, with multiple different uses of size space, three floors to visit. The corridor outside the church is very grand, and it was used as a filming location for Harry Potter in 2002 and 2008 and is well worth visiting.
