Cost: $115 Have you always wanted to learn how to draw? How to observe the world around you and transfer what you see onto paper? Join artist/educator Simon Hrebicek in this full-day drawing workshop designed for absolute beginners or those with basic skills who are interested in discovering more in a relaxed and supportive environment. Simon will introduce participants to the role of drawing in art history and contemporary practice and how to differentiate drawing from other art making techniques before guiding them through the fundamentals of light, shadow, proportion and basic perspective in a series of drawing activities. Students will also be introduced to a variety of drawing materials and tools that will assist them in developing their own drawing practice. This workshop is designed for adults or interested young people 16yr+. The workshop fee includes all materials and morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch or buy nearby.
