Discover the best Frisian recitation talent at the Fryske Poëzyslam event in Leeuwarden. Join us at Tresoar on June 27, 2024, for an evening filled with captivating performances and poetic highlights. The audience will have the opportunity to choose the top performer in three rounds from ten participants. Enjoy a musical interlude by Ladybirds, a jazz trio, between the first and second rounds. Who will receive the most votes, in the form of roses, and take home the trophy and €500 prize? Which finalist will challenge the previous edition's winner, Syds Wiersma? The event will be hosted by Gabrielle Terpstra and Arjan Hut, organized in collaboration with Tresoar. Participants must register by June 20 via email. Be mindful of the time limit: two recitations of up to 3 minutes each and a repertoire for the final round. All performances must be in the Frisian language. Fans, family, friends, and poetry enthusiasts are warmly invited to attend. Admission is free. Join us at Boterhoek 1, 8911 DH Leeuwarden, on June 27, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM for a night of poetic excellence.
