Brighton and Hove Events in December, 2023

Join the annual New England House Open Studios event in Brighton and Hove for a unique opportunity to engage in free clothed figure drawing. This event, titled "Free Clothed Figure Drawing (Mixed Pose)", will take place at Draw Brighton in Studio 1 South on Level 5 of New England House. Whether you have prior experience or are a beginner, all are welcome to attend this session. Draw for as long or as little as you like, as there is no time constraint. The session will feature a costumed model who will hold various poses for 2 to 45 minutes, accompanied by music playing in the background. A short tea break will also be provided, offering complimentary hot drinks and biscuits. Explore the impressive New England House building, filled with talented makers and artists, and take the opportunity to complete your Christmas shopping with unique handmade gifts by local artisans. Additionally, books, Draw gift boxes, and gift vouchers will be available for purchase. Basic drawing materials will be provided, but we encourage attendees to bring their own if possible. The studio provides easels, padded chairs, drawing boards, and small tables on a first come, first served basis. Accessing the studio is convenient, with parking available at London Road car park, Elder Place, and Trafalgar St car parks. Brighton station is also just a short 5-minute walk away. Please note that if you are unwell with contagious symptoms, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending. The studio prioritizes safety and accessibility, with wheelchair ramps and lifts available. Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
